Software Engineer / Architect
Own the technical direction of the products we build for clients and for Veril Core™ — from system design to the code that ships.
About the role
As a Software Engineer / Architect at Veril Studio, you’ll set the technical foundation for the web and mobile products we design and build. You’ll translate client goals into scalable architecture, write production code alongside the team, and make the calls that keep our products fast, secure and easy to maintain.
What you’ll do
- Design system architecture, data models and APIs for new client products and Veril Core™.
- Write, review and ship production code across the stack.
- Set engineering standards for code quality, testing, security and CI/CD.
- Lead technical discovery and scoping with clients and project managers.
- Mentor developers and run architecture and code reviews.
- Evaluate tools, services and infrastructure costs, and document decisions.
What you’ll bring
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years in an architect or tech-lead role.
- Deep experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and at least one back-end language (Node.js, Python, Go or similar).
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure), relational databases and API design.
- A track record of shipping and scaling production web or mobile applications.
- Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical people.
Nice to have
- Agency or studio experience working across multiple client projects.
- Experience with Supabase, Postgres or serverless architectures.
- Background in mobile (React Native, Swift or Kotlin).
